- Audre Lorde

renée lula michaud (pronouns: they/she)

is a neuro-queer, interdisciplinary creative whose materials, labor, and life-experiences act as mediums to self-soothe and reach deeper awareness. renée loves working with word, sound, nature, time, food, fibers, pigment, and their body.

renée is a non-binary, sober, and queer human with autism & adhd whose identity is eclectic & complex. She holds a bachelor of fine arts in sculpture & public engagement from maine college of art & design.

They understand the world through abstraction, sound//music, maximalist minimalism, passages, metaphors//reflections, the philosophy of nothing, repetitive movements, neuro-euphoria//dissonance, nature, residue, the human body, and deeply-interconnected systems.

renée lula’s current work explores fine lines, maintenance of sacred space, cakes, and the poetics of semi-verbal neurodivergence.
